Run by Simon Jay, PGA Professional, and his team, Seckford Golf Academy is aimed at providing a range of golfing opportunities for players of all ages and abilities. Simon has been at Seckford Golf Club for 14 years and is equally known for his outgoing and friendly approach as his playing and teaching skills. Simon believes that fun should figure in all
sessions and that by making the 'golf experience' enjoyable it helps to introduce the skills and techniques that ultimately improves the standard of all players whatever their age.
The Academy provides a programme of course for groups and individuals, who are subsidised by the Club, and includes a Playing Club where players can use the Course under the guidance of Matt, Simon's PGA Assistant, to learn rules, etiquette and gradually be introduced to the playing experience which we all love.

Simon, is proud to be the home to the Suffolk Under 12 County Coaching Programme.

Professional Club Fitting
Have your clubs made to measure and personal to you. This will allow you to play and enjoy the game to your potential. The session includes a static fitting followed by an assessment on the range with professional advice and a summary.
A club fit can take anywhere between 30 minutes to an hour and costs £20. Following your club fit, if you purchase your new clubs from us, your professional will arrange a complimentary 30 minute summary lesson to look at your new equipment and ensure you get the best from it.

New to golf?…Learn to Play in a Day
Seckford Golf Club is offering you a great opportunity to start playing golf this year. For £10 per person (Groups of 8) - includes 4 hours tuition, loan of equipment and lunch. 10.00am – 3.00pm

Need more?...Starter & Intermediate Courses
These 5 week group lessons are aimed at those who would like to improve their game or take the next step in learning the game. Lessons can be taken at your convenience and there is no need to attend 5 sessions in a row.
Starter Courses
Tuesday and Saturday – 1:00pm to 2:00pm
Sunday – 2:00pm to 3:00pm
Intermediate Courses
Thursday – 1:00pm to 2:00pm
Sunday – 3:00pm to 4:00pm

Junior Starter Course
Goes through the basics of the game starting with the grip and swing, looking at a selection of clubs during these sessions. Groups of 12 Juniors, hosted by our Director of Golf, Simon Jay.
Sundays
An ideal chance for girls and boys, from ages 4, to enjoy a 1-hour lesson in a relaxed atmosphere.
Maximum 12 places – all equipment can be provided.
11.00am – 12.00noon
12.00noon – 1.00pm

Junior Passport Course
A 5 week rolling program in conjunction with the Golf Foundation. The scheme concentrates on The Golfers Code, Putting, Short Game, Long Game and concludes with an on-course playing test.
Successful participants will achieve certificates at the completion of each level.

Children's Parties at Seckford Golf Academy
Why not try something different for your Child's Birthday party? Here at the Seckford Golf Academy we are now offering children's parties.
This includes:
• Welcome on arrival by PGA Professional
• Introduction to the Golf Club
• 1 Hour of golf instruction and games (all equipment provided)
• Food and drink are then provided in the Terrace Restaurant
• Parents are more than welcome to provide a Cake which our staff will serve as required
All for just £10 per child (Min. group size 6 and max. group size 12)
