The Ryder Cup-Hole No.6-Mickle Skelp

201 yards, Par 3

Through out The Ryder Cup this par 3 can play up to and over 200 yards. There is a bunker on the left side of the green, and wetland (sort of an existing pond) short of the green. This hole requires a very accurate tee shot. There is a little bit of bailout out to the right, which will actually help feed the ball a little bit into the green. Back left will be a difficult hole location to get to on this green.
The club selection can vary depending on the wind – anything from a mid to short iron should be sufficient . The safe side to play this cleverly guarded, par 3 green would be to the right where most shots kick back in off the bank and feed on to the green.
