The Ryder Cup-Hole No.2-Wester Greenwells

516 yards, Par 5

The 2nd at Glenegales  has an elevated tee shot, and it doglegs left around a bunker on the left side of the fairway. It is protected on the left side of the green with bunkers, and with a pond. Over the green is a deep grass hollow. Most of the competitors will reach the green in two. So this hole presents a very good birdie chance for most of the players, and there will be a fair number of eagle possibilities here.

A long draw would be the perfect drive for this par 5. The teams at The Ryder Cup will hit level or just past the left fairway bunker. Wherever the pin is on this split-level green, most players will play to the front right. This hole offers a good birdie chance or even an eagle early in the round.
